Welcome to 2025! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year from our WINNIPEG Arts Incubator!
As we step into 2025, we’re filled with gratitude and excitement for the amazing experiences and growth we’ve had over the past year. From collaborating with artists, partners, and communities across Winnipeg and beyond, we’ve seen incredible progress in the arts world, and we can’t wait to share what’s next!
Big Changes Ahead: Rewiring Our Web Platform in 2025
As we look ahead to 2025, we’re excited to announce a major transformation for our web platform. After three yearsof piecing it together with a mix of temporary solutions and rapid fixes, we’re finally embarking on a full rebuild and rework of our online space.
This year, we’ll be focusing on creating a platform that’s as dynamic, accessible, and innovative as the artists and communities we serve. From new features and interactive tools to improved functionality and design, we’re making sure our web platform supports our growth and provides the best experience for our collaborators, partners, and audiences alike.
Our team has been hard at work planning and building from the ground up, taking a more intentional and strategicapproach to how we structure and present our content. This overhaul is part of our broader effort to make the most of our new opportunities—like the OpenAI Researcher Access Program—and integrate cutting-edge technologies into everything we do, from AI tools to immersive digital experiences.
Optimistic Thoughts for the Year Ahead
As we continue to evolve, we’ll be sharing more updates on our platform’s progress throughout the year. Our goal is to not only improve how we connect with our community but also to create a space that reflects our vision for the future of arts, technology, and collaboration.
Looking back, we’ve been inspired by the connections we’ve forged in Manitoba, Nunavut, Northwestern Ontario, and Minnesota, and we’re incredibly proud of the collective effort that is shaping a brighter future for the arts. This year, we’re diving even deeper into these relationships, working hand-in-hand to create a Community of Practice and Care—a space where collaboration, support, and growth can flourish.
Through this initiative, we aim to rejuvenate and revitalize the arts community by not only sharing knowledge and resources but also by providing more opportunities for professional development and skills training. Together, we’ll explore new ways to fuel creativity and innovation across the region, ensuring that artists of all backgrounds have the tools and resources they need to thrive.
Take a look at some of last year's activities with our 2023-2024 year-end activities and outcomes report!
As we embark on another year of growth, we’re inspired by the power of art to transform lives and communities. With each new collaboration, we’re reminded of the importance of connection, and we’re excited to continue building these relationships that are grounded in care, inclusivity, and opportunity.
Here’s to an exciting 2025, filled with new possibilities, new collaborations, and new artistic journeys. We’re ready to dive in, and we hope you’ll join us along the way!
Happy New Year from all of us at the WINNIPEG Arts Incubator. Let’s make it an incredible year together!
